"Shadow of the Almighty" is basically a biography of Jim Elliot. It was written by his wife Elisabeth Elliot after his death.
Pros: It is by a Christian author, and is a biography of a Christian missionary. It is filled with scripture, and many theological subjects.
Cons: It is mainly comprised of journal entries, and letters, and is very dry. Other than that, there are no other cons!
Over all, I didn't really like the book. It was really dry, and I got easily bored reading it. Unless you really like reading journal entries or letters, you may not like it. However, it is highly a matter of personal opinion, and I will leave it up to the reader to decide!
Even though it was dry, did it have a lot of good morals?
ReplyDeleteIt did...there were a few ideas that I totally did not agree with. For example, Jim Elliot thought that Christians should not be involved in government or war. That was about it though. It did have good morals, but you have to be willing to brave the dryness to get the morals!
ReplyDeleteOk... Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteNo problem! :D
